Phyllis Joan McGee, 70, passed away on Thursday, November 2, 2023.  Visitation will be 2-5pm Sunday, November 5, 2023, at Ott & Lee Funeral Home in Brandon, MS.  Funeral services will be 1pm Monday, November 6, 2023, in the chapel of the funeral home with burial to follow in Cedar Grove Cemetery in Lena, MS.

Mrs. McGee was born in Lena, MS on February 9, 1953, to Jessie Brooks and Imogene Ward Brooks.  She worked in commercial accounts in the insurance industry.  Phyllis was a member of Rock Hill Baptist Church in Brandon, MS.  She loved to read and online shopping. 

Survivors include her children, Tracie Turner (Jeff), Rita Smith (Danny), and Rodney McGee; sister, Nellie Faye Paige; 7 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren.  She was preceded in death by her husband, Bobby E. McGee; daughter-in-law, Christy McGee; sister, Janice Williams; brother, Ernest Brooks and her parents.
