Libby Polly Ann Allen Faulkner, age 83, lifelong resident of Morton died Tuesday March 24, 2015 surrounded by her loving family following an extended illness.
Funeral services were conducted at 1pm Friday March 28, 2015 from the chapel of the Ott & Lee Funeral Home in Morton with interment in the Hodge Hill Cemetery. Visitation was held from 5pm-8pm Thursday and prior to the service on Friday from 10am-12:30pm. Rev. Paul Smith, Rev. Joey Smith and Rev. Howard Herring officiated.
Mrs. Faulkner was born in Leake County on May 11, 1931 to her parents James M. Allen and Annie V. Walker Allen. She was a member of Line Prarie Presbyterian Church. She had worked many years at Talon, Inc. in Morton and later retiring from Peavey Electronics. She enjoyed gardening, spending time with her grandchildren and family. Polly Ann, as she was known by everyone, enjoyed her wit and humor. She was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and a friend to all who loved and knew her, she will be greatly missed.
She was preceded in death by her parents, a grandson; William Justin Faulkner and her husband Cap W. Faulkner, Jr.
Survivors include her three children; William Marion “Bill” Faulkner, Sherry Lee Faulkner Robbins and Suzanne Faulkner Owens (Eugene) all of Morton. Other survivors include two brothers Jack Allen (JoAnn), Jerry Allen (Sharon) , three sisters; Sondria A. Henderson, Geneva Liddon and Helen Blackburn (Eugene). She also leaves behind a legacy of five grandchildren; Kevin Wayne Faulkner, Christopher Michael Coley, Lauren Nicole Robbins Lucroy, Jason Allen Robbins, Katlian LeShay Owens, ten great-grandchildren; Frederick Kywan Coley,Benjamin Matthew Faulkner, Ethan Cole Crites, Jacob Nolan Faulkner, Rylie Addison Lucroy, Libby Anna Grace Coley, Halie Marie Havard & Mason Balie Havard, Michael Malie Holmes and Kaley Grace Weems.
Pallbearers were Terry McCurdy, James Hodgesm David Allen, Eric Allen, John David Jones and Camaron Henderson. Honorary Pallbearers were Robert McCurdy, Bedell Boyd, William McCoy, Sonny Evans, Charles McCaughn, Russ Landtrip, Buddy Powell and Kevin Faulkner.
