Visitation was held 4-8pm Saturday, April 12, 2014 at Ott & Lee Funeral Home in Morton. Funeral services were held 2 pm Sunday, April 13, 2014 at Ott & Lee Funeral Home in Morton with burial in the Eastside Baptist Cemetery. Rev. Phil Evans officiated the services. Arrangements were entrusted to the care of Ott & Lee Funeral Home in Morton.Mrs. Trussell was born in Rankin County in 1937. She is the daughter of Robert and Birdie Massey Gray. She was employed as a waitress by Hank and Annie’s for many years. She loved her family and friends very much and spending time with them brought her great joy. Mrs. Trussell enjoyed working with her flowers and gardening as a lifelong hobby along with putting puzzles together and playing the game of Aggravation. Mrs. Trussell was preceded in death by her parents, Robert Gray and Birdie Massey Gray; her first husband, James Edward Martin; sisters, Helen Gray and Bobbie Bowman; brothers, Fred Gray and Ed Gray; and her special love, Max Sargent.She is survived by her son, James Robert Martin of Pelahatchie, MS; daughter, Sandra Hodum (Danny) of Brandon, MS; and daughter, Gloria Wilkins of Brandon, MS; sister, Louise Harrell (Jinx, deceased) of Brandon, MS; brother, Sylvester Gray (Lillian) of Pelahatchie, MS; sister-in-law and special friend, Carlene Gray; grandchildren, Shane Byrd (Christy), Krissy Verney (James), Tonya Jones (Brian), Micha Martin, Jamison Grace Bennett, Angel Franklin (Jason), Alicia Allen (John); great-grandchildren, Riley Grace Byrd, Elijah Shane Byrd, Daniel Trace Verney, Taylor Anne Verney, Carlie Jones, Corey Jones, Drew Franklin, Corey Franklin, Jordan Franklin, Aby Allen, Aydin Allen; numerous nieces, nephews and a host of friends.
