Ray Marsh, 95, a resident of Madison, MS passed away Wednesday, November 24, 2021, at Saint Catherine’s Village in Madison, MS. Funeral services will be held at 12:00 pm Friday, November 26, 2021, at Ott and Lee Funeral Home in Brandon, Mississippi with visitation starting at 10:00am. A graveside service will be held at 2 pm Saturday, November 27, 2021, at Liberty Hills Cemetery in Farmerville, Louisiana. He was born in Red River County, TX on November 28, 1925, to the late Edgar and Eula Marsh. He graduated from High School in 1943 and joined the Army in late 1943. Ray served in the South Pacific with the 1st Calvary Division. Discharged in late 1946 he went to work in the Louisiana oilfields. After spending 51 years, the latter part of 42 years with Helmerich & Payne, he retired in 1997 as Vice President Southern Division. He enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren and traveling. Ray married Clothylde Brantley on December 20, 1947. They moved to Lovington, New Mexico, and may other places before moving to Brandon, MS in 1978. He is preceded in death by his parents; wife, Clothylde Brantley Marsh and son, Danny Ray Marsh. Ray is survived by his son, Alan Taylor Marsh; 2 grandchildren, Chelsy Marsh (John) Money and Dayton Taylor Marsh; 1 great grandson, Ethan Taylor Money.
