Ray Price, Jr., 63, passed away Thursday, July 5, 2012 at his home in Brandon. Visitation is 4-6 pm Saturday and 1-2 pm Sunday at Ott and Lee Funeral Home in Brandon. Services are 2 pm Sunday at the funeral home with burial in Carpenter Cemetery in Hermanville.
Ray was born in Copiah County, Mississippi, on May 29, 1949 to the late Louie Ray and Quinnie D. Parrette Price of Carpenter, MS. He graduated from Utica High School and Hinds Junior College. Ray was retired from PRC Realty Systems in Atlanta, Georgia.
Ray is survived by his constant companion of 30 years, Doug Hutton; sister, Jean King (Tommy); nephew, Thomas King (Tammie); niece, Carole King; great nephew, Jason King; great nieces, Laura King ,Cara Shank and Chase Lawson, two aunts, many cousins, and his precious cats, Oliver and Bailey.
Ray enjoyed dabbling in gardening at home, going to movies and live theatre, dining out, watching Fox News and feeding the fish at a small lake in Brandon. He never met a stranger and always had a smile and a hug when seeing friends.
In lieu of flowers, the family request donations be made to Carpenter United Methodist Church, 1198 Hurricane Rd, Hermanville, MS 39086-9627.
