Raymond Garbutt

Raymond Louis Garbutt, 60, a resident of Brandon, MS passed away Wednesday, August 16, 2017. A graveside services will be held at 11 am Wednesday, August 23, 2017 at Greenlawn Cemetery in Natchez, MS. Visitation will be held from 3-6 pm Tuesday, August 22, 2017 at Ott and Lee Funeral Home in Brandon, MS.
Mr. Garbutt was a native of Casper, Wyoming. He was the son of William Bedford Nicholson and Edna Pearl McMurtry. He was married to Bonnie Poole Hawes Garbutt. Mr. Garbutt worked in the security industry for many years. He served his country in the Army National Guard. He will be remembered by his family as having a dry sense of humor and one who loved to hunt. He loved his family very much and spending time with them brought great joy to his life. He will be missed by all who loved and knew him.
Mr. Garbutt was preceded in death by his parents, William Bedford Nicholson and Edna Pearl McMurtry; brothers, John Garbutt, Edwin Nicholson and Fred Nicholson and his sister, Clara Newby.
Mr. Garbutt is survived by his wife, Bonnie Poole Hawes Garbutt; children, Rebecca (Bobby) Reardon, Russell (Kellie) Garbutt, Greg (Janet) Hawes and Beth (Stephen) Peale; his beloved pets, Dollie, Bella, Coco and Kyzar; sisters, Buellah (Tom) Bishop, Ida (Frank) Cooksey and Lucy (Fred) Milham; brothers, Larry (Susie) Nicholson and Leo (Valletta) Garbutt; many grandchildren and great grandchildren; special friend, Sherry Martin and her spouse; and a host of friends.
