Reba Jewel Gunn, Pelahatchie, MS
Reba Jewel Gunn, 78, passed away Fri. March 9, 2012 at Hospice Ministries in Ridgeland, MS. Visitation will be held Sun. March 11, 2012 from 2pm.-5pm. at Ott & Lee Funeral Home in Brandon, MS. Funeral Services are 10am. Mon. March 12, 2012 at the funeral home with burial to follow in the Lakewood Memorial Park in Clinton, MS.
Mrs. Gunn was born in Tuscola, MS. She lived a short time in Pea Ridge, moved to Jackson in the early 1950’s and has been a resident of Pelahatchie since 1976. She was a member of the Pelahatchie Baptist Church. Mrs. Gunn loved gardening, working with flowers and also enjoyed traveling to the mountains. Most of all she loved spending time with her family. Mrs. Gunn was a graduate of the Gilfoy Nursing School. She was a loving caregiver who had great compassion for people.
Mrs. Gunn is survived by her three children, Andy Gunn (Rachel) of Jackson, MS, Cheryl Gunn Coleman of Greenville, MS and Lynn Gunn (Diane) of Pelahatchie, MS; one sister, Alta Enlow of Walnut Grove, MS; eight grandchildren, Jarette, Jamie, Jason, Miriam, Carey Lynn, Kylie, Lindsey and Bethany. She is also survived by her 13 great-grandchildren. Mrs. Gunn is preceded in death by her husband, Harlon Gunn.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Pelahatchie Baptist Church Building Fund or the True Light Youth Fund at Pelahatchie Baptist Church.
