Becky was born at the Baptist Hospital in Jackson on December 14, 1964 and passed away at the MS Baptist Medical Center in Jackson on December 20, 2017 at the age of 53.
She will be remembered as a wonderful daughter, wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend who exercised her faith in the Lord Jesus as she served others. She was musically inclined, using her talents to encourage others on this journey. She enjoyed singing, playing the piano, organ, and the clarinet. Her passion for children was exemplified in her long time teaching children’s Sunday School and serving as the Vacation Bible School Director, at the Union Baptist Church, where she held membership and enjoyed her worship experience. As quoted by her daughter, “she loved to teach the little ones” allowed others to see her servant’s heart. One who enjoyed being around people and was a regular conversationalist, she never met a stranger. Her family and friends will miss her but the legacy she leaves behind will be remembered for generations to come.
She is survived by her husband of almost 23 years: Joe Daniel; one daughter: Gina (Kris) Vick; one son: Tony Daniel; one granddaughter: LJ Vick; her parents: Charles B. and Jeannie Neely Winstead, all of the Mayton Community; one sister: Betsy J. Winstead, also of the Mayton Community; one brother: Charles Brock (Tom) Winstead of Jackson; and a host of wonderful uncles, aunts, cousins, and friends.
Serving as pallbearers will be Kyle Winstead, Jason Neely, Jason Russell, Jonathan Miley, Chad Miley, and Steven Neely.
In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to Union Baptist Church.
