J G “Red” Taylor, 86, passed away on Tuesday, June 23, 2020, at Merit Health Rankin.  Graveside services will be 11am Thursday, June 25, 2020, at Floral Hills Memory Gardens in Pearl, MS.  Rev. Dennis Stringer and Rev. Dennis Ellingburg will officiate.

Mr. Taylor was born in Simpson County on July 24, 1933, to Green Madison Taylor and Helen Lane Taylor.  He joined the US Army in 1954 and was a Veteran of the Korean War.  He was a member of Truitt Memorial Church and he retired from the Jackson Coca-Cola Company.

Survivors include his loving wife, Jane Cutrer Taylor and nieces and nephews.  He was preceded in death by his parents and a half-sister.
