Regena “Gina” Diane Gilmore Grant, 50, passed away Sunday, January 17, 2016 at her residence. Visitation is 5-8 pm Wednesday, January 20, 2016 at Ott and Lee Funeral Home in Brandon and 9:30 am Thursday at Brandon Baptist Church. Services are 11 am Thursday at Brandon Baptist Church with burial in Lakewood Memorial Park. Rev. Jim Taylor and Dr. Clarence Cooper will officiate.
Gina was a longtime resident of Rankin County, living in Brandon for the past eight years. She was a member of The Pointe Church in Brandon. Gina graduated from West Wood High School in Mesa, Arizona, but spent most of her education years in the Florence School System. Gina loved and was very devoted to her family. One of the special times she enjoyed was being at the beach with her family and friends. She also loved being in the outdoors and shopping.
Survivors include her husband, Robert “Robby” Grant of Brandon; daughters, Maranda Vaughn (Brennan) of Savannah, GA and Chelsea McLean (Ashtin) of Florence; parents, Kenny and Linda Gilmore of Brandon; sister, Teresa Evans (Mel) of Brandon; grandchildren, Luke and Esme’ Vaughn; mother-in-law, Gayle Grant of Brandon. She is also survived by many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephew and cousins. Gina was preceded in death by a daughter, Angel.
