Reggie Kenneth Hunter, Sr., 75, went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, December 26, 2017 at his home in Brandon, MS. Visitation is Saturday, December 30, 2017 from 12 Noon until 2 pm at Ott & Lee Funeral Home in Brandon, MS. Funeral Services are 2 pm Saturday, December 30, 2017 from the Chapel of Ott & Lee Funeral Home with burial to follow in the Simms Cemetery in Morton, MS
Reggie Kenneth Hunter was born on January 20, 1942 in Scott County, MS to the late Woodrow Wilson and Mary Bama Chesnut Hunter. He was a graduate of Hinds Junior College. He had been a resident of Rankin County since 1975. He was a member of Liberty Baptist Church in Brandon, MS. He was an insurance salesman and manager in the Rankin County and Jackson, MS area for over 40 years.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his brother, Dannye Lee Hunter.
He is survived by his wife of 43 years, Barbara Ann Hunter of Brandon, MS; his children, Reggie Kenneth Hunter, Jr. (Kimberly) of Gulfport, MS, Silesia Hunter Clark (Kevin) of Blairsville, GA, and Tara Hunter Kerr (Michael) of Brandon, MS; six grandchildren, Ashley Hunter, Courtney Hunter, Blane Clark, Elissa Huff, Kyle Hunter Raynes, and Karmyn Kerr; one great-grandchild, Emorie Dae McGill; and a niece, Stacy Hunter Garner of Ridgeland and a nephew, William Joseph Garner, II of Madison, MS.
