Rennette Lott Martin, 92, passed away Tuesday, June 21, 2011 at St. Dominic Hospital in Jackson. Visitation is 5-8 pm Thursday at Ott and Lee Funeral Home in Brandon. Services are 10 am Friday at Cato Baptist Church with burial in Salem Cemetery.
Mrs. Martin was a native of Covington County and a longtime resident of Rankin County. She was a member of Cato Baptist Church where she had taught Sunday School, Discipleship Training, and had been a leader in youth and children’s activities throughout her life. Mrs. Martin was a leader and supporter in 4-H Clubs in Rankin County for over 20 years and had worked as a volunteer at Rankin Medical Center for over 30 years. One of her favorite pastimes was working in her flower garden and vegetable garden.
Survivors include her husband, Ralph H. Martin of Brandon; daughter, Andra Gaines and husband Gary of Franklin, TN; sons, Gale Martin and wife Pam of Brandon and Paul Martin and wife Nanda of Brandon; 9 grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren.
