Rev. A. Harrison Weger, Sr.

Reverend A. Harrison Weger, Sr., age 79, passed away peacefully at his Brandon home surrounded by family on the evening of Monday, September 12, 2016.
Born to Delbert and Nellie Weger (née Harrison) of Forest, MS, he was a beloved son, brother, husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, cousin, uncle, and father-in-law. As a devoted Baptist pastor of 33 years, he baptized hundreds of Christians in Mississippi and Arkansas; most recently, he served at Trinity Baptist Church in Laurel, MS. Harrison was a dedicated member of Brandon Baptist Church. In life, he found joy in fishing, golf, and watching football.
Harrison was preceded in death by his father, Delbert Weger, and his great-grandson, Liam Mooneyham.
He is survived in death by his wife, Dolly Weger (née Smith) of Brandon; his mother, Nellie Weger of Forest; his sister, Virginia Brown (Lloyd) of Forest; three sons, Allen Weger (Marion) of Gulfport, Stacy Weger of Durant, OK, and Hans Weger (Sabrina) of Atlanta, GA; two daughters, Tammy Mooneyham (Steven) of Robinwood, and Christy Lundell (Kirk) of Charlotte, NC. Aside from his five children, his greatest joy in life was his ten grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be Wednesday, September 14, 2016 Ott & Lee Funeral Home in Forest from 5-8 PM. Funeral services will be conducted Thursday, September 15, 2016 at 11 AM from the Ott & Lee Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow in the Liberty Baptist Church Cemetery in Forest.
