Charles Rudolph Cooksey, 83 went to his long awaited home on Tues. June 21, 2011. Visitation will be held Wed. June 22, 2011 from 5pm.-8pm. at Ott & Lee Funeral Home in Richland, MS. Home going celebration will be held at 10:30am. Thurs. June 23, 2011 at Ott & Lee Funeral Home in Richland, MS with a 2pm. graveside service following at the Evans Chapel Cemetery in Union, MS.
Rudolph was a lifelong minister of the Pentecostal faith, a pastor for many years and touching the lives of countless people along his journey. Rudolph was born June 19, 1928 to Dora Williams Cooksey and James Barto Cooksey.
He is survived by his devoted wife of 64 years, Carlene Evans Cooksey; daughter, Judy Wilson and husband Rev. Dwight Wilson; daughter, Charlene Whittington and husband Ron Whittington; eight grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren; brother, Donald Cooksey; sister, Edna Faircloth and many friends. He was welcomed home by his son, Charles Rayford Cooksey; his parents; brothers, Herman and Ronald and his sister, Louise.
The family thanks Willow Creek Retirement Home for their loving care. May God bless them for their many acts of kindness and compassion.
