Rev. Derek Youngblood

Rev. Derek Drew Youngblood, age 69, went home to be with his Lord and Savior on Sunday, April 11, 2021.

A Celebration of Life will be Wednesday, April 14, 2021 at 11:00am at River of Life Assembly of God. Burial will follow in Crestview Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be Tuesday, April 13, 2021 from 5:00pm until 8:00pm at Ott and Lee Funeral Home in Brandon and again on Wednesday from 10:00am until service time.

Derek was born in Panama City, FL on July 3, 1951 to the late Rev. Hayward Youngblood and Frances Warren Youngblood.

He was the Secretary Treasurer for the Mississippi Assemblies of God and served in a Pastoral role for many years. Derek loved hunting, fishing, woodworking, and gardening. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and brother who will be truly loved and missed by all.

Derek is survived by his wife of 46 years, Teresa Youngblood; children, Joy Hollingsworth (Caleb), Lara Garrard (Chris), and Jonathan Youngblood (Whittney); grandchildren, Landon, Lexie, Jackson, Emma, Ty, Sophie, Paisley, Phoebe, and Sawyer; sister, Regina Richardson (Ron); and a host of other relatives and friends.
