Reverend Terry Franklin,
51, a resident of Morton died Friday, March 7, 2014 at his residence. Funeral
services were held at 11:00 a.m. Sunday, March 9, 2014 from the Morton Church
of God with burial in the church cemetery. Visitation was held from 4:00 p.m.
until 7:00 p.m. Saturday at the church. Reverend Randy Rigney officiated the
services. Ott and Lee Funeral Home in Morton was in charge of the arrangements.
Reverend Franklin was the
son Birl Franklin and Birdie Adaholt Franklin. He was married to Debbie Dean
Franklin. He worked in the construction industry for many years and enjoyed
working with his hands. Reverend Franklin was a member of the Morton Church of
God where he enjoyed ministering the Word of God and operating within the
prophetic gift. He was the president of the Morton Booster Club. He loved
fishing, camping and being in the great outdoors. Reverend Franklin treasured
spending time with his family and was the calming force within it. He will be
tremendously missed by all who loved and knew him. We look forward to the day
that we will be reunited with him in Heaven.
Reverend Franklin was
preceded in death by his parents, Birl Franklin and Birdie Adaholt Franklin,
sister, Gwen Ladner, and his brothers, Dean and Kenneth Franklin, brother-in-law,
Clarence Cyr.
Reverend Franklin is
survived by his wife, Debbie Franklin; children, Caleb, Haley and Matthew
Franklin; sisters, Mary Louise Cyr and Joan and her husband John Compton;
brothers, Mike and his wife Lanell Franklin and David and his wife Tammy
Franklin; many nieces, nephews, cousins and a host of friends.
Serving and honoring
Reverend Franklin as pallbearers were Shannon Callahan, Donnie Denton, Billy
McCrory, B.J. Frith, Jacob Rigney and Michael Frazier.
