Rev. George E. Felts, 86, passed away on Mon. Feb. 22, 2021 in Brandon, MS. Visitation will be held on Wed. Feb. 24, 2021 from 2pm-5pm at Ott & Lee Funeral Home in Brandon, MS. A graveside service will be held at 2:30pm on Thurs. Feb. 25, 2021 at Brandon Memorial Gardens in Brandon, MS.
Rev. Felts was born on Oct. 14, 1934 in Vicksburg, MS to the late Hollis Lee Felts and Mildred Augustus Richardson Felts. He served his country in the United States Navy. Rev. Felts was a graduate of the Candler School of Theology at Emory University. He retired from Western Electric and also retired as a minister after 40 years of service from numerous churches.
Rev. Felts is survived by his 4 daughters, Bridget Teresa Felts (Corey), Regina Felts Sistrunk (Wayne), Kimberly Felts Arnold (Louie) and Penny Felts Bishop (Jay); 7 grandchildren, Emily S. Fisher (Rob), Katie S. Watson (Colby), Michael Shane Arnold (Karen), Jacob Felts Arnold (Reagan), Ashley Haddox (Michael), Morgan McCaleb (Mitchell) and Cody Bishop; 10 great grandchildren, Emma Grace Fisher, Corbin Hayes Fisher, Robert Case Fisher, Michael Aiden Arnold, Anna Claire Arnold, Hunter Grayson Arnold, George Bodie Watson, Haidyn Haddox, Cayden Haddox and Tripp Haddox; sisters, Diane Thompson, Shelby Guzzetti, Audrey Densford and two brothers, Hollis Lee Felts Jr. and Lawrence Felts. Rev. Felts is also preceded in death by his wife, Betty N. Felts; sister, Eloise Herrington and two brothers, Jeffrey Lynn Felts and L.G. “Sonny” Felts.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
