Rev. Jimmy Davis

Rev. Jimmy Daniel Davis, 76, of Brandon, MS passed away Wednesday, February 14, 2018 at home surrounded by his family. Funeral services will be held at 2 pm Sunday, February 18, 2018 at Ott and Lee Funeral Home in Brandon, MS with the interment at Canton Cemetery in Canton, MS. Visitation will be held from 6-8 pm Saturday, February 17, 2018 and from 1-2 pm Sunday at the funeral home.

Rev. Davis was born April 28, 1941 to Charles E. Davis and Grace Boyd Davis. He was married to Dr. Bonnie Sowell Davis. He was a chaplain at MS State Hospital; a lifelong minister; a photographer and marathon runner.

Rev. Davis is preceded in death by his parents, son, and his brother, Charles Ray Davis.

Rev. Davis is survived by his wife of 52 years, Dr. Bonnie Sowell Davis; daughters, Dr. Jennifer Davis (Kenneth) Morgan and Gelaina Davis (Robert) Allen; grandchildren, Myres Allen, Ansley Allen and Chloe Allen; brothers, Billy (Linda) Davis and Ronald Davis; sisters, Zella Grace Bunton and Betty Ann Davis (Scottie) Blaine.
