Richard Samuel Tucker Sr.

Richard Samuel Tucker Sr., 83, passed away on Mon. Sept. 4, 2023, at Wisteria Gardens in Pearl, MS. Visitation will be held on Fri. Sept. 8, 2023, from 12pm-2:30pm at Ott & Lee Funeral Home in Brandon, MS. Funeral Services are 2:30pm on Fri. Sept. 8, 2023, at the Ott & Lee Funeral Home Chapel in Brandon, MS with burial to follow in the Floral Hills Memory Gardens in Pearl, MS.

Mr. Tucker was born on June 6, 1940, in Neshoba County, MS to the late Richard Tucker and Bettie Lou Watkins Tucker. He was a former member of Crossgates Baptist Church in Brandon, MS where he was a greeter, usher and served on various committees and was a current member of Park Place Baptist Church in Pearl, MS. Mr. Tucker enjoyed bowling, fishing, and golf, but he loved spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren.

He is survived by his wife, Sue King Tucker; daughter, Teresa Martin (Alan); son, Richard Tucker Jr. (Kelly); stepdaughter, Amanda Evans; stepson, Todd King (Michelle); brother, William H. Tucker (Sonya) and 7 grandchildren, Noah Martin, Kyle Renegar, Rivers Marie Tucker, Jacob King, Stuart King, Hannah Grace King, and Abigail Evans. Mr. Tucker is also preceded in death by his first wife, Marie Tucker.

A special thanks is given to Plainview Assisted Living in Richland, MS, MS Care Center of Morton, MS and to Wisteria Gardens in Pearl, MS for all their loving care over the past several years.
