Richard “Dick” Watts, 78, passed away Mon. Aug. 16, 2010 at Hospice Ministries in Ridgeland, MS. Visitation will be held Wed. Aug. 18, 2010 from 5pm.-8pm. at Ott & Lee Funeral Home in Brandon, MS. Funeral Services are 3pm. Thurs. Aug. 19, 2010 at the Good Shepard Lutheran Church in Brandon,MS with interment to follow in the Providence Lutheran Cemetery in Smith County, MS.

Mr. Watts was born in Newton, MA and has lived in Brandon, MS for the past 46 years, where he was a member of the Good Shepard Lutheran Church. Mr. Watts served his country in the U.S. Coast Guard during the Korean War. Mr. Watts was a licensed pilot and loved to fly. He enjoyed photography and owned his own photography studio. Mr. Watts was an avid bowler and he also volunteered for the MS Society to Prevent Blindness, and the MS Heart Association.

Mr. Watts is survived by his wife, Corinne Watts of Brandon; three children, Terrence Watts of Boston, MA, Richard M. “Rick” Watts of Brandon and Christy Woods and husband Chris of Florence; one brother, (Retired) Brig. Gen. David Watts and wife Nancy of South Carolina and ten grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents, two sisters, and his two sons, Richard K. Watts and Todd Watts.
