Leon Tadlock passed away early Wednesday morning, December 13, 2017, at Mississippi Care Center in Morton, MS.
Visitation will be held Friday, December 15, 2017 from 5:00 pm - 7:30 pm at Ott and Lee Funeral Home in Morton.
A funeral service will be held Saturday, December 16, 2017 at 10:00 am at the Ott and Lee Chapel with burial to follow at Morton Memorial Gardens. Reverend Earl Clark will officiate.
Mr. Tadlock was born on May 1, 1931 to the late A.P. and Lillian Squires Tadlock in Morton, MS. He grew up in the Line Prairie Community and attended Branch High School. He graduated from Mississippi State University with a B.S. Degree in Agriculture. His post graduate work was done at Louisiana State University, Mississippi College, and Alabama Montevallo University, receiving his Masters of Education in Science and Specialist Degree in School Administration. Mr. Tadlock retired after 42 years as a teacher, principal, and Superintendent of Education in Scott County.
He was preceeded in death by his wife, Cleo Allen Tadlock; one sister, May Ballard Skelton; and three brothers, Neal Tadlock, Billy Ray Tadlock and Arthur Tadlock.
He is survived by his wife, Rachel Varner Tadlock; children Rodney (Venita) Tadlock, Tammie (Rene) O'Steen, and Martha (Pat) Smith; grandchildren Brittany (Zach) Morrow, Carli (Mack) Crapps, Chandler (Casey) Smith, Wes (Laura) Lewis, Sam (Traci) Lewis, Claire (Web) Floyd, Kelsey Tadlock and Tonya Franklin; sisters Laverne Layton, Jewel Risher, Benell Ramsdell, and Sarah Cooper Franklin; brothers Roger Dale Tadlock and Oscar Tadlock; eight great grandchildren; and a host of friends.
Mr. Tadlock was a member of First Baptist Church, Morton, where memorial donations may be mailed to P.O. Box 110, Morton, MS 39117.
