Richard "Rick" Pitts, Sr.

Richard “Rick” K. Pitts, Sr., age 70 of Brandon, passed away on Saturday, March 9, 2019 at Hospice Ministries in Ridgeland.

A Celebration of Life will be Tuesday, March 12, 2019 at 1:00pm at Ott and Lee Funeral Home, Brandon. Visitation will be prior to the service from 11:00am until 12:45pm. Interment will follow in Crestview Memorial Gardens.

Rick was born in Clarksdale, MS on August 22, 1948 to the late Richard B. and Polly Pitts of Tutwiler, MS.

He worked and retired for over 30 years as a Salesman for Corr Williams. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, and golfing. Rick was an avid Ole Miss fan and he served his country in the United States Air Force. His greatest joy was spending time with his grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, Jerry Beck and Milton Pitts.

Rick is survived by his wife, Carol Pitts; children, Karen Ray (Joseph) and Ricky Pitts; and most importantly his two grandchildren, Landon and Avery. A host of other relatives and friends.

In lieu of flowers the family request donations be made to the American Lung Association.
