Rita Kaye Davis, 64, passed away Monday, December 8, 2014 at the Miss. Baptist Medical Center in Jackson. Visitation will be 5-8 pm Wednesday at Ott and Lee Funeral Home in Brandon and 9 am Thursday at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in the Relief Society Room. Services will be at 10 am Thursday at the Church with a 2 pm graveside at the Miss. State Veterans Cemetery in Newton.
Mrs. Davis was a native of Arkansas and a longtime resident of Rankin County. She was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in Brandon and was a very loving wife, mother and grandmother.
Survivors include her husband, Carroll Davis, Jr. of Pearl; daughters, Leah Davis of Brandon and Dawn Sykes of Pearl; son, Tony Davis of Pearl; twin sister, Judy Weible of Pearl; brothers, James Donaldson, II of Puckett, John David Donaldson and Terry Donaldson both of Pearl; grandchildren, Jeffrey Davis, Julie Davis, Andrew McAlpin, Connor Dalton and Aubree Sykes.
The Family would like to thank all the doctors and nurses at the Baptist Hospital for their concern and compassion. In lieu of flowers, the family request memorials to be made to The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints Welfare Fund, 175 Burnham Rd., Brandon, MS 39042.
