Robert Thomson Caldwell, 76, passed away Sunday, November 13, 2011 at Mississippi Baptist Medical Center in Jackson. A Memorial service will be held at 12 Noon Wednesday, November 16, 2011 in the chapel of Ott and Lee Funeral Home in Brandon with visitation beginning at 10:00AM.
Robert served 20 years and retired from the United States Air Force. He was awarded the Purple Heart for his valor during Vietnam. He also served in the Korean War.
He was a life time fan of the Boston Red Sox, New England Patriots, and Boston Celtics.
He was a devoted father, grandfather, and uncle.
Robert is preceded in death by his wife, Donna J. Caldwell; brothers, Frederick, William R., and Thomas M. Caldwell; sisters, Ellis Caldwell and Jean Caldwell; and parents, Annie and Frederick Caldwell.
He leaves behind his 4 children, Bobby Caldwell of Pelahatchie, MS, Laura Mills of Necaise, MS, Barbara Yarborough of Jackson, MS, and Dennis Caldwell of Texas. He also leaves 15 grandchildren, 4 great-grandchildren, 2 nieces, and 1 nephew.
He will be truly missed by friends and family.
