VISITATION: 5-8 PM THURSDAY



Robert Matthew (Bob) Coleman, 85, passed away Monday, February 14, 2011 at the V. A. Medical Center in Jackson. Visitation is 5-8 pm
Thursday at Ott and Lee Funeral Home in Brandon. Services are 2 pm Friday, February 18, 2011at the funeral home with burial in Floral Hills Memory Gardens in Pearl.

Mr. Coleman was a native of Louisiana and a longtime resident of Rankin County. He retired in 1987 as Minister of Music at Park Place Baptist Church in Pearl and had served in various churches in Louisiana, Texas and Mississippi. He spent many years after retirement enjoying being with his family, especially sharing with his grandchildren his deep love for music of which he had already instilled in his children. Mr. Coleman was a World War II Air Force Veteran and will be honored with military rites at his graveside.

Survivors include his wife of 53 years, Roxanna Coleman of Brandon; daughter, Laura Callahan (Harry)of Pearl; son, Lawton Coleman (Beverly) of Pearl; grandchildren, Kirsten Melody Callahan, Ana Ilse Coleman, Kenneth Michael Callahan, Heidi Chrystine Coleman, Kaitlyn Meredith Callahan, Kimberly Michaela Callahan and Marta Elizabeth Coleman; brother, Dr. James Coleman of Raleigh Durham, North Carolina; sister, Marjorie Coleman Sandage of Llano, Texas. He was preceded in death by his parents, Matthew Richard and Esther Wyatt Coleman; sister, Doris Kathleen Coleman and brother, Richard Irvin Coleman.
