Robert Cooksey

Robert Quitman Cooksey, 84, passed away peacefully on Mon. Feb. 12, 2018 at his home in Brandon, MS. Visitation will be held on Thurs. Feb. 15, 2018 from 1pm-1:45pm at Ott & Lee Funeral Home in Brandon, MS. Funeral Services are 2pm on Thurs. Feb. 15, 2018 at the Ott & Lee Funeral Home Chapel in Brandon, MS with burial to follow in the Floral Hills Memory Gardens in Pearl, MS.

Mr. Cooksey was born in Dixon, MS and lived in Greenville and Leland, MS until he moved to Brandon, MS in 1971. He was a member of Hope Fellowship Church in Brandon, MS. Mr. Cooksey pastored four churches, Brandon Church of God, New Life Christian Fellowship, Mountainview Baptist Church and Harvest Time Church. Mr. Cooksey served his country in the U.S. Navy.

He is survived by his wife, Becky Cooksey; five children, Elizabeth Cooksey, Sharon Cooksey, Robert Lee Cooksey, David Cooksey and Pam Cooksey; five step children, Tena Myers, Michael Yarbrough, Debi Singletary, Mark Yarbrough and Eric Yarbrough; four sisters, Flora Baugh, Mary Baugh, Jessie Hood, Rachel Burleson and many grandchildren and great grandchildren.
