Robert “Bob” Garner, 75, passed away Wednesday, February 01, 2012 at Hospice Ministries in Ridgeland. Visitation is 5-8 pm Thursday at Ott and Lee Funeral Home in Brandon. Services are 11 am Friday at the funeral home with burial in Crestview Memorial Gardens in Brandon. Mr. Garner was a native of Cleveland, growing up in Hattiesburg and has been a resident of Rankin County since 1998. He was a member of Park Place Baptist Church and an Air Force Veteran. Mr. Garner was a PGA Golf Professional for thirty years, serving clubs in Mississippi and Louisiana. Survivors include his wife, whom he married April 1, 1962, Nancy Garner of Brandon; children,
Robert M. and Jennifer Garner of Covington, Louisiana , Rhonda Daniels of Brandon, Brenda and Clint Walker of Brandon and Nancy Lee and Jonathan Zimpleman of Sumter, South Carolina; grandchildren, Thaddeus Ray Daniels, III of Brandon, Kathryn Nicole Garner of Covington, Louisiana, Megan Mackenzie Walker of Brandon and Clint Mason Walker of Brandon; sister, Ruth Brockwell of Dinwiddie, Virginia. Mr. Garner was preceded in death by his parents, Robert M. and Laverne Garner; son-in-law, Ray Daniels and brother-in-law, Samuel T. Smith, Jr. The family request memorials to the Honduras Mission Team at Park Place Baptist Church, P. O. Box 1497, Brandon, MS 39043.
