SERVICES: 11 AM THURSDAY, MAY 20, 2010 AT OTT AND LEE FUNERAL HOME IN FOREST
BURIAL: HILLSBORO METHODIST CEMETERY
VISITATION: 5-8 PM WEDNESDAY AT THE FUNERAL HOME
Robert Curtis Hines, Sr., 92, a resident of Forest died Tuesday, May 18, 2010 at St. Dominic Hospital in Jackson, MS. Funeral services were held 11 am Thursday, May 20, 2010 at Ott and Lee Funeral Home chapel in Forest with burial in the Hillsboro Methodist Church Cemetery. Visitation was held 5-9 pm Wednesday, May 19 at the funeral home. Rev. Ricky Watkins, Rev. Richard Forsythe and Rev. Bill Pittman officiated the services. Ott and Lee Funeral Home in Forest was in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Hines was a native of Simpson Co. but lived most of his life in Scot Co. He was the son of Walter Earl and Levi Jane Hines. He was married to Lucille Crout Hines. Mr. Hines loved his family very much and spending time with them brought great joy to his life. He loved his church and at one time served as the song leader. He loved the outdoors spending time in his garden and on the farm was among the things he enjoyed doing. He will be greatly missed by all who loved and knew him.
Mr. Hines was preceded in death by his parents, Walter Earl and Levi Jane Hines, wife, Mary Lucille Crout Hines, sons, Paul and Larry Hines, brothers, Paul and Durwood Hines and sister, Jewel Finnegan.
Mr. Hines is survived by his children, Curtis Hines of Forest, Donald (Sue) Hines of Chandler, TX, Jerry Hines of Forest, Kenny (Theresa) Hines of Forest, Judy Hines of Forest, Kathy Hines of Nashville, TN, Rayburn (Penny) Hines of Forest and David (Jeannine) Cook of Forest; brothers, Pete Hines of San Antonio, TX, Walter Hines Of Kosciusko, MS, Roger (Nancy) of Marietta, GA and Carlton (Wanda) of Jackson, MS; sisters, Marshall (Ida) Hall of TX, Authula Crout of Forest, Margarette (Stanley) Chambers of Forest, Minnie Pridgen of CA, Almedia Beard of Smyrna, GA, Ruby (Bob) Hempel of Pearl, Janelle (Bob) Brown of Forest, Carolyn Greer of Orlando, FL and Tressie (Larry) Johnson of Ramsey, IN.
Serving as pallbearers were Paul Hines, Robert Hines, Michael Hines, Jody Hines, Aaron Hines and Brian Cook.
