Mr. Robert Loyde Griffin age 72, a resident of Morton passed away at his home on Wednesday, January 10, 2024.  

He was born in Tuscaloosa, AL on November 10, 1951.  He loved the Lord and attended Morton Jesus Name Church.  Robert enjoyed going coon hunting, deer huntig and being outdoors.  He loved to travel and just be on the go.  Robert loved his family very much and will be greatly missed by all who loved and knew him.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Theo Griffin and Ethel Mae Hendrix Griffin; grandson, Robbie Cordell Griffin and siblings, Lou Hill and Betty Nettles.

He is survived by his children, Kim Purvis (John) of Forest, Robbie Dale Griffin of AL and Robin Loyde Griffin of Forest; siblings, Glenda Hillhouse Griffin of Ethel, Patsy Whatley (Virgil) of Raleigh, Mack Griffin (Brenda Jean) of Morton and Ellie Prestage (Scott) of Leesburg; 11 grandchildren, Timothy Griffin, Cecil George, Cammie Holton, Kimberly Holton, Jonah, Dana Griffin, John Dale Griffin, Megan Griffin Brown, Courtney Griffin, Anthony Griffin and Hillary Griffin; several great grandchildren and a host of friends.

Pallbearers will be Michael D. Griffin, Brian Whatley, Michael Whatley, Jason Whatley, Braden Whatley and Blade Whatley.
