Funeral Services for Robert “Buster” May will be held at 11am Friday, August 30, 2019  at Ott & Lee Funeral Home in Forest. The final resting place will be in the Pine Ridge Cemetery in Lawrence.  Graveside services will not be held, the family will remain to visit with friends.  Visitation will be held from 5pm to 8 pm Thursday, August 29, 2019, at the funeral home and again at 10am Friday morning til service time.  G

Robert “Buster” May passed away at his home in Gulfport, Tuesday, August 27. Buster was always an outgoing, loving & caring man. His children were his life & he let everyone know this. Anyone who ever met Buster grew to love him. He had so much life and spunk in him. He worked all of the time because he loved & enjoyed what he did & was so proud of his work. Buster would help anybody he came in contact with & he always wanted to give you something. The only hobbies he really had was woodworking, riding his Harley & hanging out with his friends & family.

Buster is survived by Kaytleen Roberson (Josh) of Meridian, Dawson May of Gulfport, Sisters: Cindee’ Hurtt of Meridian, Lorie Sullivan, Angel Johnson, & Missy Griffin of Lake. Numerous nieces & nephews. His very close friends: Amber Lee & kids, Marion Champagne, Rick Jasper, & best buddy & brother-in-law James Hurtt & of course his fur babies.

Buster is preceded in death by Mary May Chesteen, Mother, Robert May, father, Sister Stacy May, Paternal grandparents Leroy & Annie May, & Maternal grandparents, Lionel “Boog” & Stella Dale.

A memorial service will be held at a later date in Gulfport.
