Robert Kenneth McGrath, 68, passed away Sunday, July 15, 2012 at River Oaks Hospital in Flowood. Funeral services are scheduled for 10:00am Wednesday, July 18, 2012 at Eastside Baptist Church in Pearl. Visitation will be held from 4:00pm until 8:00pm Tuesday, July 17.2012 at Ott and Lee Funeral Home in Brandon and also one hour prior to the service on Wednesday. A graveside service will be held at 1:00pm Wednesday in the Bethel Baptist Church cemetery in Newton, MS.
Mr. McGrath was born in Grand Forks, North Dakota and has lived in Pearl since 1974. He was a member of Eastside Baptist Church in Pearl where he was a deacon and Sunday School Director. Mr. McGrath was Principal Engineer of Spencer Engineers, Inc., where he worked since 1974.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Marianne McGrath, who passed away in 2005.
He is survived by his son, Kenneth McGrath and wife Sara; daughter, Carrie McGrath; brother, Tom McGrath and wife Lynne; sisters, Carol McGrath and Jean Brosz and husband Jarvis.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Bethel Baptist Church, 5043 Hwy 15, Newton, MS 39345, Attn: James Rowzee or to the Arvilla Cemetery, 414 29th Ave N., Fargo, ND, 58102, Attn: Jean Brosz.
