Mr. Robert L. Morris, age 79, a resident of Greenville, MS passed away Tuesday, April 29, 2014 at the Crossgates River Oaks Hospital in Brandon, MS. A memorial service will be held at 11:00am Friday, May 2, 2014 at the Corner Stone Baptist Church, in Greenville, MS. Rev. Justin Heins will officiate the services. Arrangements were entrusted to the care of Ott and Lee Funeral Home in Morton.
Mr. Morris was born December 28, 1936 in West Helena, AR but lived most of his life in Greenville, MS. He was the son of Willie Marion and Virgina Mae Farmer Morris. He was married to Addie Florence Sibley Morris. Mr. Morris worked 25 years as an electrician for Scott Electric and served as the Circulation Manager for the Delta Democrat Times in Greenville, MS. He was a member of the First Baptist Church Greenville, MS. He loved his family very much and spending time with them brought great joy to his life. He will be missed by all who loved and knew him.
Mr. Morris was preceded in death by his parents, Willie Marion and Virgina Mae Farmer Morris; and wife Addie Florence Sibley Morris.
Mr. Morris is survived by his children, Tammy (Ricky) Wade of Morton, Debbie Otwell of Morton, Cathy (Wayne) Cambell of Brandon; sisters, Dorothy M. Schauseil of Hatboro, PA, and Linda M. (Glenn) Brooks of Greenville, MS; four grandchildren; 3 great grandchildren; 3 nieces and a host of friends.
