Robert Turnage

Robert A. Turnage, age 79, passed away on Thursday, March 24, 2022, at MS Care Center in Raleigh MS.

Born to Calvin and Jessie Faye Hedgepath Turnage on, September 7, 1942, in Lawrence County. He was a lifelong resident of the Salem community. He married Mrs. Nell Alexander, having to children, Lisa, and Jason. Hobbies included working, hunting, loved old trucks; family was very important to him, spending time with his grandkids brought him great joy.

Preceded in death by his parents, Calvin and Jessie Fay Turnage, sister, Verla Davis and most recent, his beloved wife, Nell A. Turnage in October 2021.

Mr. Robert leaves behind a legacy of two children, Lisa Boyles, husband, (Bobby), Jason Turnage, (wife), Tracy; eight grandchildren, Roman Turnage, Julie Jones, Jennifer Barnidge, Kristen Walker, Joshua Boyles, Le Ann Stevens, Shane Lann, Corey Lann. Eleven and a half great-grandchildren, Troy Turnage, Ayden Turnage, Sylar Clark, Charlie Jones, Memphis Barnidge, Miles Barnidge, Braiden Walker, Blaine Walker, Brandon Lann, Payton Lann, Hudson Lann, Baby Lann; five brothers, George Turnage, wife, (Sandra), Bill Turnage, Glenn Turnage, Buddy Turnage and David Turnage.

Visitation for Mr. Robert will be 5:00pm to 8:00pm Saturday, March 26, 2022, at Ott and Lee Funeral Home in Forest MS. Funeral Services will be 2:00pm Sunday, March 27, 2022, at Sand Ridge Baptist Church in Lake MS. Interment will be at Salem Baptist Church Cemetery.
