Robert Allen (Bob) Wilkinson,
Ridgeland, MS.
Robert Allen (Bob) Wilkinson, 72, passed away Wed. April 21, 2010 at the University Medical Center in Jackson following a valiant battle with Leukemia. Visitation will be held Mon. April 26, 2010 from 9am.-11am. at Christ United Methodist Church in Jackson. Funeral services are 11am. Mon. April 26, 2010 at Christ United Methodist Church with a 3pm. graveside service to follow at Pilgrim Rest Cemetery in Meadville, MS.
Bob graduated Co-Lin and Delta State Universities and then completed a residency for a PhD from LSU in New Orleans. He was a long time CPA, consultant, lobbyist and professor in Jackson.
He is survived by his wife of forty years, Julia Wilkinson and their three children, Rick McCarty and his wife Cissy of Madison, Lisa Hultin of Atlanta, GA. and Brooks Evans of Jackson; five grandchildren, Braden and Ryan McCartry, Pete and Clair Hultin and Jack Evans; two brothers, Dr. Charles Wilkinson and wife Millie of Meridian and Jerry Wilkinson and wife Kay of Madison and numerous nieces and nephews whom he adored. Bob is preceded in death by his parents, R.L. and Marguerite Wilkinson of Meadville, MS.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in honor of Bob’s life to the Pilgrim Rest Cemetery Association 5237 Hwy. 98 East, Meadville, MS. 39653.
