Robert Earl Lipscomb, 71, a resident of Brandon died Sunday, April 12, 2015 at home. Visitation will be held 5-8 pm Tuesday, April 14, 2015 and 12-2 pm Wednesday, April 15, 2015 at Ott and Lee Funeral Home in Brandon. Funeral services will be held 2 pm Wednesday, April 15, 2015 at the funeral home with burial in the Crestview Memorial Gardens. Rev. Jim Taylor will officiate the services. Arrangements are entrusted to the care of Ott and Lee Funeral Home in Brandon.
Mr. Lipscomb was a native of Natchez, MS. He was the son of David Andrew and Lennie Mae Johnson Lipscomb. He was married to Wanda Lipscomb. He worked in the construction industry many years. He enjoyed Recreational Vehicles, Racing and spending time with family and friends. He was a Christian and loved Jesus and serving Him. He will be greatly missed by all who loved and knew him.
Mr. Lipscomb was preceded in death by his; son, Steve Lipscomb; grandson, Steven Lipscomb, Jr.; parents, David Andrew and Lennie Mae Johnson Lipscomb brothers, David Lipscomb, Jr. and James Lipscomb; sister, Ruth Ann Dawson.
Mr. Lipscomb is survived by his wife of 39 years, Wanda Lipscomb; children, Blanche (Greg) McGriff, Robert E. (Bobby) Lipscomb, Jr., Michelle (Corey) Holder, David (Barbara) Lipscomb and Daniel Lipscomb; nine grandchildren; eight great grandchildren; brothers, Charles and Fred Lipscomb; sister, Dorothy (James) Holder; many nieces, nephews and a host of friends.
