Robert Terrell Baggett, age 77, a resident of Conehatta, passed away Friday March 1, 2013 at his residence following a brief illness.
Funeral services were conducted at 2pm Sunday March 3, 2013 from the chapel of Ott & Lee Funeral Home, with interment in the Pine Ridge Baptist Cemetery. Rev. Larry Duncan officiated the services. OTT & LEE FUNERAL HOME of Forest was in charge of arrangements.
Robert was born on April 26, 1935 in Lawrence to Jessie Samuel Baggett and Annie Dotson Baggett. He entered the United States Navy and later served in the Coast Guard where he retired as an aviation electrician. He was a member of the Salem Baptist Church.
He was preceded in death by his beloved son, Timothy Baggett and his loving wife Ruby L. Baggett.
Survivors include his daughter, Vall Parks and husband Randy of Lake, a son Todd Baggett and his wife Donna of Conehatta. He is also survived by a brother, John H. Baggett of Ft. Worth, TX and sister , Sarah Yates of Baton Rouge, LA. Mr. Baggett also leaves behind a legacy of 4 grandchildren; Jarett Baggett, Casey Bryant, Meagan Garrett and Sasha Parks, one great-grandchild Damion Bailey.
Pallbearers were James Parker, Chuck Parks, Mark Baugher, Larry Parks, Chris Parker and Heath Swinson.
