Rocky Ward

Rocky Ward, age 55 of Brandon, passed away on Wednesday, May 26, 2021.

A Celebration of Life will be 12:00pm Saturday, June 5, 2021, at Ott and Lee Funeral Home in Brandon. Visitation will start at 11:00am and conclude at service time.

He was born in Jackson, MS on January 21, 1966, to the late Clarence P. Ward, Sr., and Erma Joyner Ward.

Rocky started painting cars while he was still attending Pearl High School and he worked his whole life as an auto body painter. All of his friends and family will remember him as an avid Nascar fan. If you visited Rocky, he was bound to cook you breakfast in the morning or grill you a steak in the evening. He always had a story to tell! Everyone has heard at least one of his funny stories about growing up or getting into something! He knew how to laugh and have a good time and he knew how to love his family. He will be remembered and missed by many.

Rocky is survived by his wife, Sara Ward; daughter, Rachel Garletts; grandchildren, Jake Donald, Bishop Garletts, Landon Garletts, and Caden Garletts; siblings, Vickie Holmes (Donald), Ernie Cox (Mary Jane), and Doug Ward (Liz); other relatives and friends.
