Roger White

October 24, 1938 — August 12, 2015

Roger D. White, 76, a resident of Brandon, MS died Wednesday, August 12, 2015 at Merit Health in Brandon. Funeral services will be held at 11 am Saturday, August 15, 2015 at the Brandon Baptist Church with interment in the Puckett Cemetery. Visitation will be held Friday from 5 until 8 pm at Ott and Lee Funeral Home in Brandon. Dr. Clarence Cooper and Rev. Bernard Nail will officiate the services. Arrangements are entrusted to the care of Ott and Lee Funeral Home in Brandon.

Mr. White was a native of Beaumont, TX. He was the son of John S. White and Lois Davis White. He was married to Venita Kennedy White. He was in the sales industry and owned his own business. Mr. White proudly served his country in the United States Army. He was a member of the Brandon Baptist Church. He loved his family very much and spending time with them brought great joy to his life. He will be missed by all who loved and knew him.

Mr. White was preceded in death by his wife, Joan White; parents, John S. White and Lois White and his brother, John S. White, Jr.

Mr. White is survived by his wife, Venita White; children, Rod (Vicki) White, Roger (Julie) White, Jr., Bryan White, Shannon (Ernest) Bowker and Brent (Sunie) Purvis; eight grandchildren, Beau White, Holly Sexton, Jason White, Tommy White, Travis “T.J.” White, Jenny White, Noah Purvis and Jonah Purvis; three great grandchildren, Jackson Sexton, Hudson Sexton and Travis White; father-in-law, James E. Kennedy; sister-in-law, Carolyn (Russ) Espiritu and a host of friends.

Memorials may be made to the Brandon Baptist Church Building Fund or the Tuberous Sclerosis Alliance.

Serving as pallbearers will be Beau White, Jason White, Tommy White, T.J. White, Ernest Bowker and Ken Shelton.
