PELAHATCHIE

Mr. Ronald “Ronnie” Steven Cornelison, age 59, a resident of Pelahatchie passed away Thursday, January 27, 2011 at the V.A. Medical Center in Jackson. Visitation was held 5-9pm Saturday, January 29, 2011 at the Ott & Lee Funeral Home in Morton. Funeral Services were held 2pm Sunday, January 30, 2011 from the Ott & Lee Chapel in Morton with burial in the Rehobeth Baptist Cemetery. Rev. Timothy “Bobo” Phillipson officiated the services. Arrangements were entrusted to the care of Ott & Lee Funeral Home in Morton.

Mr. Cornelison was born in Yipsalanti, Michigan. Ronnie worked for Bynum Mills Supply Company as a Salesman for many years. He was a proud Veteran of the United States Navy. Ronnie loved to be in the serenity of nature listening to the beagles run and hunting rabbit, squirrel, turkey and deer. He was also an avid fisherman. Ronnie loved his children and grandchildren very much. He will be greatly missed by all who loved and knew him.

He is preceded in death by his wife, Sharron Cornelison; parents, James and Lorene Cornelison and 2 brothers, Randy and Cliff Cornelison.

He is survived by his 3 children, Michael Cornelison of Pelahatchie, Marti Peterson of Pelahatchie and Tonya Ragan (Chad) of Pelahatchie; sisters, Vicki Gordon (Tommy) of Brandon, Jackie Nabors or Houston, MS; brothers, Jessie Cornelison of Pelahatchie, Don Cornelison (Diane) of Morton; 3 grandchildren, Tyler Ragan, Hunter Ragan and Skylar Ragan and a host of friends.

Pallbearers were Johnny Cornelison, Butch Cornelison, Jamie Grissom, Curtis Coleman, Kenny Ingle, Malcolm Ingle, Paul Bennett and Billy King.
