Ronald C. Walters, 60, passed away Mon. Dec. 30, 2013 at his home in Braxton, MS. Visitation will be held Thurs. Jan. 2, 2014 from 4pm-7pm at Ott & Lee Funeral Home in Brandon, MS and Fri. Jan. 3, 2014 from 12pm-1pm at The Pointe Methodist Church in Brandon, MS. Funeral Services are 1pm Fri. Jan. 3, 2014 at The Pointe Methodist Church in Brandon, MS with burial in the Zion Hill Cemetery in Braxton, MS.
Mr. Walters was born in Mendenhall, MS and has lived all of his life in Braxton, MS. He was a member of The Pointe Methodist Church in Brandon, MS and he retired after 24 years of service as a Lieutenant with the Jackson Fire Department. Mr. Walters was a very active person who was an avid outdoorsman. Most of all he was a very loving family man and he loved his grandchildren very much.
He is survived by his wife, Bernice Walters; his sister, Judy Stevens; 3 children; 5 grandchildren; 1 niece; 3 nephews; 2 great nieces and 6 great nephews. Mr. Walters is preceded in death by his parents, Ray and Mary Grace Walters.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society, Miss. Division Inc. at 1380 Livingston Lane Jackson, MS 39213.
