Ronnie Jason Russum

Ronnie Jason Russum, age 48, of Brandon passed away Friday, January 17, 2024, at UMMC. He was born January 21, 1976, to Ronnie Woods Russum and Kay Gibbons Russum.

Jason was preceded in death by his Grandparents, Avis and Edsel Gibbons; and Dorothy Nell and Woods Russum. And also, by many beloved Aunts and Uncles.

Jason was a member of Meadow Grove Baptist Church. He graduated from Brandon High School and worked most of his life as a heavy machinery mechanic. He enjoyed spending time with his family and riding his motorcycle.

Jason was a kind and gentle man. He was always willing to lend a hand to anyone in need and he will be deeply missed.

Jason is survived by his wife Rene Snyder Russum. Three sons, Ronnie Evan Russum, Aiden Woods Russum, and Owen Stephen Russum; his two bonus daughters, Mackenzie Walls and Chasity Bennett (Charlie). As well as two bonus grandchildren Charolette and Jack Bennett. He is also survived by his parents Kay Gibbons Russum, Ronnie Woods Russum; his sister Stephanie Russum Arnold; and by one Uncle William Grant (WG) Russum and numerous cousins and friends. He will be sadly missed.

Visitation will be at Ott and Lee Funeral home in Brandon on Thursday, January 30 from 5-7 pm and on Friday, January 31 from 10-11 am. The funeral services will be held on Friday, January 31 at 11 am at the Ott and Lee Chapel in Brandon with Bro. Steve Wilson officiating.

Memorial contribution can be made to the Gideons, the American Heart Association, or Meadow Grove Baptist Church.
