Rosalie was born February 18, 1931 to Elton Alton Stevens and Mary Elizabeth Kethley in Vicksburg, MS. She graduated from Pearl High School in 1949, where she played basketball. Rosalie's life covered a wide geographic reach living in the states of Mississippi, Kentucky, Tennessee, and Alaska. She worshipped with Churches of Christ in all these locations. Rosalie served several companies as bookkeeper Klean Steel Mfg. and Primos Northgate. She started her own sewing business, The Finishing Touch, and published an alterations book “Altering Manufactured Apparel to the Invisible Body” in 1989. She enjoyed gardening and canning fruits and vegetables, sewing, square dancing and playing with her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister and aunt. She loved her family and friends with all her heart and was loved by everyone she knew.
Her life’s greatest joy was to have her family and friends around. She loved to entertain and made sure everyone else was taken care of before herself. She lived out the true meaning of the phrase: “it’s better to give than to receive.”
