Roy Turner Burns
Mr. Roy Turner Burns, age 69, a resident of Koscuisko, Ms., formerly of Lake, Ms., passed away Wednesday December 29, 2010 in Koscuisko following an extended illness.
Funeral services were conducted at 2pm Friday, December 31, 2010 from the chapel of Ott & Lee Funeral Home in Forest with interment in the Carr United Methodist Cemetery. Dr. Leon Everett and Rev. Eugene Banes officiated the services.
Mr. Burns was a resident of the V. A. Nursing Home in Koscuisko for the past several years. He had retired as a Security Officer. Mr. Burns was a member of the Carr United Methodist Church. He loved to deer hunt, enjoyed fishing an the outdoors.
He was preceded in death by his father, Mr. Roy C. Burns and a sister, Zora Lana Burns.
Mr. Burns is survived by his wife, Christine Lee Burns and his mother, Mrs. Vallie Burns both of Lake, Ms.
Pallbearers were Sam Turner, Johnny Turner, Grady Boozer, Johnny Martin, Danny Martin, Robert Tisdale, Reggie Tisdale, Billy Shoemaker and Brent Parks.
Ott & Lee Funeral Home of Forest was in charge of arrangements.
