Roy Mccrory

Mr. Roy Lamar McCrory Sr. passed away at Baptist Medical Center on May 17, 2022.

Roy was born to Homer McCrory Sr. and Evie Mae Westerfield on July 28, 1942. He is preceded in death by his parents, two brothers Homer McCrory Jr. and Freddy Laverne McCrory: 3 sisters Mamie Knight, Estelle Tait, and Merle Goss and a daughter Sandra Elizabeth McCrory. He is survived by daughter, Lisa Till of Morton, MS and 5 sons Roy McCrory Jr. (Carol) of Morton, MS, Lee MCCrory of Florence, MS, Ralph McCrory of Morton, MS, Justin Adcox of Morton, MS, and Christopher (Bo) Stout (Lisa) of Morrow, AK, 10 grandchildren and  17 great grandchildren.  He considered Tommy Johnson (T.J.) a son. Where you saw Roy you saw T.J.

Roy loved being outdoors. He loved hunting and fishing, especially coon hunting. He raised game chickens and loved to watch them wandering around the yard. He worked as a mechanic for many years, Rival Manufacturing, City of Eupora, and cut and hauled paper wood for many years. He enjoyed talking and could talk with the best of them.  He will be missed by so many.
