Ruby Smith

Ruby Earle Smith, 94, passed away Thurs. Jan. 12, 2017 at the Mississippi Care Center in Morton, MS. Visitation will be held on Sun. Jan. 15, 2017 from 10am-11am at Rehobeth Baptist Church in Pelahatchie, MS. Funeral Services are 11am on Sun. Jan. 15, 2017 at Rehobeth Baptist Church with burial to follow in the Rehobeth Baptist Cemetery. Mrs. Smith was a lifelong resident of the Rehobeth Community in Scott County, MS. She was a very active member of Rehobeth Baptist Church for 94 years where she worked and also taught Sunday school. Mrs. Smith enjoyed working with ceramics, flowers, painting, crocheting and crafts. She also loved to cook. Mrs. Smith is survived by her two daughters, Linda Laster (Alton) and Terry Robinson; sister, Emma Cross; 9 grandchildren; many great grandchildren and several great-great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her husband, Van J. Smith and a son, Gerald Max Smith. Memorials may be made to Rehobeth Baptist Church Cemetery Fund at 426 Rehobeth Rd. Pelahatchie, MS 39145.
