Ruby Turner

Ruby Lynn Turner, age 94, a resident of Carthage,  died Saturday, June 2, 2018 at Trend Health and Rehab in Carthage following an extended illness.

Funeral  services will be conducted at 2pm Monday June 4, 2018 from the Pleasant Hill Church of God  with interment to follow in the church cemetery.  Visitation will begin at 12pm til service time Monday at Pleasant Hill Church of God.  Rev. Rick Lal and Rev. Frank McGaugh will officiate.

Mrs. Turner was born in Leake County to her parents Will Watkins and Laura Arthur Watkins on September 9, 1923.  She was a member of the Church of God.  She was married to Rev. Carl Turner, Jr.   She was a loving caring and compassionate Christian lady.  She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband; 2 children James Carl Turner  and Janet Turner Zundel.

Survivors include five brothers; Kirby Watkins (Audrey), Kenneth Watkins (Alma Jean), Ray Watkins (Pam), Talmadge Watkins all of Carthage and Bennie Watkins of Koscuisko.  She is also survived by two grandchildren.

Pallbearers are Gene Watkins, Jerry Watkins, Jackie Lewis, Terry Moore and Randy Watkins.
