Ruby Coke White went home to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on September 6th, 2015. She lived a long life of 98 years; being healthy most of those years.

She was born to John and Beulah Coke in 1917. She was one of the oldest in a family of 10 children. She was preceded in death by brothers Lynn Wesley, John, Charles, Ben, J.B., and George Coke (Mary Kate); sisters Stella Lewis, Mary Walters and Geneva Nash (Laurence).

She married at an early age to R. Norris White; for 29 years before his death. She was a devoted and loving wife, mother and grandmother. She always took good care of her family; providing for their needs. She enjoyed sewing; making many of her daughters clothes. She also enjoyed growing her own vegetables, and loved cooking. Many of her friends were blessed by her wonderful soup and chocolate pies.

Later in life as her children got older, she began working outside the home, retiring from Packard Electric. She spent much of her time being involved in her church and spending time with her grandchildren. She was currently a member of Walker Hill Baptist church.

She was preceded in death by her daughter Mildred White Martin (Gerald). She is survived by her son R Norris White (Pam) of Pearl, daughters N Carolyn Ruff (Jim) and Mable R Boyanton (Henry) of Brandon, son-in-law Gerald Martin of Denham Springs, La. and adopted son Charles Howard Oneal of Georgetown; eleven grandchildren, Geraldine Wilson (Jody), Lisa Kelly (Billy) of Denham Springs La., Susan Farve (Eric) of Waveland, Debbie Westerfield (Bill) of Madison, Donna Stoufer (Paul) of Lincolnton N.C., Robert Ruff (LaGrace), Tonya Braband of Brandon, Tamra Mangum (Dusty) of Florence, Bethany White of Pearl, Dr. Heather White Flowers (Glen) of Madison and Brandi Figuero (Tomas) of Florence; twelve great grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren. She also leaves a very devoted Maltese dog Princess who was always at her side.

Thanks to Dr. Jon Michael Beall for his wonderful care of mother. Thanks to Kevin Tucker with Hospice Home Care for his great care.

Services at Ott and Lee Funeral Home- Brandon on Wednesday Sept. 9th. at 2:00, with visitation from 12:00 to 2:00. Interment to follow at Lakewood Memorial Park in Jackson.
