Ruby Florine “Flo” Russell, 79, passed away on Friday, May 15, 2015, at her home. Services will be 2pm Sunday at Ott & Lee Funeral Home in Brandon with visitation starting at 12:30pm. Interment will be in Floral Hills Memory Gardens in Pearl, MS.
Ms. Russell was born in Webster County on July 28, 1935. Flo loved to read, cook and garden. She especially loved to spend time with her family and she was an avid New Orleans Saint’s fan.
She is survived by two sisters, Imogene Vinson of Raymond, MS and Norma Dale Yelverton of Magee, MS; nieces and nephews, Mike and Annette Carroll of Terry, MS, Michele and Rick Rogers of Independence, MO, Sue and Billy Phillips of Brandon, MS, Penny and Shane Ballentine of Byram, MS, Cindy and Jerry Conrad of Oak Ridge, TN, Arnie Ferguson of Florence, MS; and a special family friend and biological daughter, Debbie and Jim Blanchard and family of Panama City Beach, FL. She was preceded in death by her parents, Johnson and Bessie Sellers Peacock; sister, Irene Husbands; and her husband, Larry B. Russell.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to French Camp Academy or a charity of your choice.
