Visitation is 5 -8pm Friday, May 11, 2012 at Ott and Lee Funeral Home in Brandon. Services are 11:00am Saturday, May 12th at the funeral home with interment in Gulde Cemetery.
Mr. Rhodes was born on March 8, 1928 to Rufus Robert Rhodes, Sr. and Willie Bee Willams in Rankin County and was a life-long resident of the Gulde community in Rankin County.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his wife, Tommie Sue Franklin Rhodes. He was retired as manager of the Rankin County Co-op where he had worked for forty-six years. Survivors include his three children, Karen R. Aldridge of Brandon, William Robert “Billy” Rhodes of Oxford and Jimmy Franklin Rhodes (Debbie) of Brandon. He is also survived by four grandchildren, Kristi Aldridge Trisdale (Charles) of Brandon, James Michael “Mike” Rhodes of Brandon, Kelcy Kayne “K.K.” Aldridge of Hattiesburg and Bobby Joe “B.J.” (Amanda) Rhodes of Brandon. He also loved his five great grandchildren, Holly, Caleb, Matthew and Seth Trisdale and Baylee Broome Rhodes, all of Brandon. He was looking forward to welcoming his sixth great grandchild, Brody Joe Rhodes later this month.
The family wishes to thank the staff and doctors at St. Dominic’s Hospital, St. Dominic’s Cancer Center, and Hospice Ministries for their loving care of our beloved father.
