Ruth Brantley

Ruth Demarice Brantley, age 92, died Saturday February 16, 2013 at the Mississippi Care Center in Morton following an extended illness.
Funeral services were conducted at 2pm Friday February 22, 2013 from the Forest Baptist Church with interment in the Harperville Memorial Park. Visitation was held from 5pm-8pm Thursday February 21, 2013 and Friday from 10am till service time at the OTT & LEE Funeral Home of Forest. Dr. John Paul Lee gave the eulogy, Dr. Gordon Sansing and Rev. Scott Fortenberry officiated.
Mrs. Brantley was born on February 29, 1920 in Scott County to her parents Henry Clyde Wallace and Mary Jewel Eure Wallace. She was employed at the State Health Dept. until her retirement in 1960. She was a wonderful Christian lady, a faithful member of Forest Baptist Church until she was no longer able to attend. Mrs. Brantley was a member of the local Garden club, Homemakers club, the LaPetite and Forest Baptist Church Ladies Sunday School Class.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Corvain C. Brantley, Sr.
Survivors include her son; Corvain C. Brantley (Wanda Sue) of Forest and daughter Susan Horn (Bobby) of Carthage. She also leaves behind a legacy of 4 grandchildren; Chad Brantley, Tiffany Brashier, Heath Cooper, Bridgette Horn; 9 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great grandchild.
Pallbearers were Bobby Horn, Chad Brantley, Gabe Brashier, Nicholas Callahan, David Callahan and Charles Henderson.
